For simplicity, I’m going to categorize them as Basic and Advanced. In general, basic programs will fit people who are relatively sedentary, and looking to get back into shape and lose weight. Advanced programs work best for people who have a reasonable level of fitness already and are looking to take it to the next level.
But there is considerable overlap. In every program, the trainers are great about showing you how to modify the moves if you find something difficult. Remeber, you can always hit the pause button. (When I did Insanity, the pause button and I became BFF’s!)
But the point is not to be intimidated. Many people can do advanced programs with modifications to lower the intensity. And on the flip-side, super-fit people can still get great workouts with more basic programs by really concentrating on bringing it and keeping the highest intensity they can!
